Welcome to Year 3 Class Page!

Year three is focused on continuing encourage the pupils to work as a team and build connections.  But it is also an opportunity to encourage the children to be more independent in their learning and develop a sense of responsibility as they move into KS2. 

There are lots of activities based on first hand practical investigation (for example in science and DT) as well as research-based study as their reading skills develop.

A highlight of the year is the visit to Celtic Harmony to experience life in the Iron age and late stone age.  It was a cold, exhilarating day full of new experiences and plenty to talk about.

Children this year voted to take part in a sponsored “Lego Fire walk” to raise money for new playtime equipment.  A challenge they approached with bravado and mutual support.
